Our Own Fixer Upper

If you are anything like our family, we love watching Chip and Joanna Gaines on HGTV's Fixer Upper. Chip's witty personality makes the show entertaining, and Joanna's sense of style is unique. I finished watching all the episodes from Season 1 and 2 and am anxiously awaiting Season 3.

Well you might remember that we randomly sold our house in the Fall. That house was a true "fixer upper". I bought the house before Kevin and I were together, and my parents and I spent lots of time renovating the place.

After selling our house, we had planned on building beside my parents' place in the country. These plans changed when we saw this house for sale a few roads over. After hearing about the built and history of the house, we decided that we needed to buy this house and bring out the southern charm in it. So you are looking at our very own "fixer upper"!

We closed on the house about a month ago and have been spending countless hours renovating the inside. There have been lots of changes that have taken place, and I plan on journaling here the changes so that we can remember where it all started.
