For the 4th of July, we took a break from working
on the house and went up to the river.
Although it was a little stormy at first, it turned out to be a very
nice weekend.
On Saturday morning, Adelaide’s friend, Clayton, came over
to play on the front porch. They found
the Pop Its and had a blast throwing them down and popping them.
We weren’t sure what the weather was going to do so we
stayed in a little longer. This allowed
us to get A’s bubble machine going. She
loved it!
When we finally decided to get on the water, we decided to
go out in our friend’s Austin’s boat.
Adelaide loved it, because it goes fast.
Mallory wanted to tube and Adelaide decided she would join her for her
first adventure out on the tube. She
seemed to like it at first, but soon decided she wanted off.
Kevin decided he would try to learn how to wakeboard. Although he gave it a good try, he was not
successful. Maybe next time!
Making sure Daddy was OK! |
The others had to show him how to do it.
That night, we shot fireworks. Adelaide loved them! We even let her hold a sparkler when we got
back to the house.
The next day, we went out on our boat. We took a drive down to Crooked Creek for ice
cream. Adelaide enjoyed a Pop Up and got
it everywhere! She was so tired from all
of her adventures that she gave up and took a nap on the boat while we floated
down the river. (There wasn’t much beach
due to the storms.)
Pulling in to Crooked Creek |
Once she woke up, we enjoyed some family fun in the water
before getting out to go home.
Fruit Snacks! |

Pointing to our Vehicle |
I think the weekend was needed for us all. Little Bit was not very excited on Monday
morning when she realized that we wouldn’t be going on the water.
Until next time,
Elizabeth
