Photography - Week 8, 9, & 10

I got behind, but I think I am finally caught up.  I was able to sit down and take some time to edit some pictures over Spring Break.

"Light"

We had light snow but some major ice.  Adelaide wasn't sure what to do!

"Lines"

She loves to look between the "lines" of the blinds to see outside.

"Reality/Truth"

The reality is that it will not be long that she will be able to escape out the front door. :(

"Speed/Fast"

Time is going by so fast!  Our little girl is now 9 months old!

"Out of the Comfort Zone"

Adelaide was taken "out of her comfort zone" and rode the lawn mower for the first time with Daddy.  It took her a few minutes, but she started to enjoy it.

"Spring"

We were all dressed and ready for Spring weather over Spring Break, 

but the weather didn't cooperate.  

We ended up having to play inside most of the time.

Extras

Oh the little things that occupy her!

Photography - Weeks 6 & 7

I have gotten a little behind with my photography challenge.  The weather has been crazy, and I have been busy working.  I hope to catch up this week and next.  I did go through all my pictures the other day, and I love having these memories.  These are pictures that I wouldn't normally take, but this challenge is making me think outside the box.  I can't wait to put them all together in a book after the year is up.

"Quiet"

Pretty much the only time we can get Adelaide to be quiet these days is when she sleeps!

"Open"

Working so hard to get Mommy's water bottle opened.

"Simplicity"

The simplest and smallest things get Adelaide's attention right now.

"Bokeh/Blur"

Memories can be such a blur if we don't keep a record of them!

I did not put much time in my pictures this past week, but I did get them taken.  I plan on really studying some more this coming up weekend.  We will see what I learn.

Kevin was out of town for some of last week so I was busy keeping everything going.  However, I was able to get some pictures on Sunday when he got home.

"Chill"

There might have been a "chill" in the air, 

but Adelaide was ready to go see Tripp and Anabeth for Super Bowl Sunday!

Little Miss "Busy Body" took a break from her adventures 

to check out the score of the Super Bowl!

This past week was a little challenging to get some pictures, because Adelaide has been sick.  However, I was able to snap a few shots on Sunday.

"Repeat"

We always take "repeat" pictures of Adelaide every month.

This picture was taken a few days later than her actual 7 month birthday due to her being sick.

"Home Sweet Home"

Adelaide was glad to be "Home Sweet Home" after church on Sunday!

Photography - Week 2

I am really loving that I am challenging myself to use my camera in manual mode.  It is definitely helping me learn.  I can't wait until the weather is a little nicer, and I can get outside to get some good shots.  Here is a look at this week's topics:

Photography - Week 1

Last week, I started two photo challenges.  I took a photography class a year ago, but I have not used my camera in manual mode very much since.  I LOVE photography!  So, as part of my goal to "shine" this year I wanted to get better with my photography skills.  I want to capture all the precious memories in our lives especially with Adelaide.  This is why I chose to do the challenges.

The challenges consists of taking a picture a week based on a word.  The goal is to get photographers to use their cameras in manual mode and learn tricks from just using their camera and learning from others' pictures.  Since I am actually doing two challenges, I have two words per week.  Here are my submissions for the first week of challenges:

"Balance"

While Adelaide is trying to learn to balance by standing, I am trying to find a balance in my life between being a wife, mother, teacher, and so much more!
