Loving Summer Time

We have had a crazy weekend and week, but we are looking forward to some time at the river this weekend.

Saturday
On Saturday, it rained!  That meant Kevin got to come home, but as soon as he came home we got a call that his grandfather was being taken back to the hospital.  So he had to follow the ambulance.  Adelaide and I went to a birthday party for Elora Kate.  Adelaide had so much fun!

She was happy going, and even happier when she was given some goldfish to eat.

She took over one of Elora's toys, and the she took one of the gifts, too.

She loved playing with Jackson, the dog.

Worn out from a fun birthday party!

Sunday
Kevin was so tired by the time he got home Saturday night, and we had not seen each other much in the past two weeks.  He asked that we all stay home and rest up before going to the hospital on Sunday.  That afternoon we went and visited Granddaddy in the hospital.  Hannah (Kevin's sister) was at the hospital staying so she kept Adelaide while Kevin and I went out to eat for our anniversary.  We made a quick trip to eat at Cheddar's and then went back to the hospital.
Adelaide liked looking out the window to the parking lot and telling everyone "bye-bye".

Monday
Adelaide's 1 year old check-up was Monday.  Her doctor had been on vacation so we had to schedule it for later.  Everything came back great!

After the check-up, we went back to the hospital to visit.  On the way home, she was knocked out.
She resumed her spot to say "bye-bye".

That night, my parents kept Adelaide while I went out to eat with the 1st grade teachers at HES.  I am so lucky to work with such great teachers!

The rest of the week has been spent cleaning, getting ready for the river, and finishing up some projects.  We are definitely loving the summer time!

I hope you have a great and safe 4th of July!

Elizabeth
