Photography - Week 8, 9, & 10

I got behind, but I think I am finally caught up.  I was able to sit down and take some time to edit some pictures over Spring Break.

"Light"
We had light snow but some major ice.  Adelaide wasn't sure what to do!

"Lines"
She loves to look between the "lines" of the blinds to see outside.

"Reality/Truth"
The reality is that it will not be long that she will be able to escape out the front door. :(

"Speed/Fast"
Time is going by so fast!  Our little girl is now 9 months old!

"Out of the Comfort Zone"
Adelaide was taken "out of her comfort zone" and rode the lawn mower for the first time with Daddy.  It took her a few minutes, but she started to enjoy it.

"Spring"
We were all dressed and ready for Spring weather over Spring Break,
but the weather didn't cooperate.
We ended up having to play inside most of the time.

Extras
Oh the little things that occupy her!

Sweet smiles!

What do you do while Mom and Dad clean the yard from the ice storm?
Play, of course!

Menu Monday

The "snice" (my word for snow on top of ice) storm messed my schedule all up for this month.  I was suppose to have cheer tryouts that week, but I had to move them to last week.  This made it hard to schedule meals.  We had quite a few leftovers still in the fridge so we spent the week eating leftovers or microwaveable meals.  This is not what I like to do, but it was necessary.  We did have one new recipe - Baked Chicken Spaghetti.  It was really good!

Look Back at New Things on Last Week's Menu (Week Before)
Monday: Weight Watchers Taco Casserole - This was pretty good the first night.  It was not my favorite, but it was not a failure either.  Since it has chips in it, it was not as good as a leftover, but I ate it anyways.

Tuesday: Cheeseburger Soup - This is definitely a new favorite soup of mine!  I absolutely loved it!  I will probably not put in the carrots next time, but everything else is a keeper.

I am hoping to get back to a regular routine this week.  We will see how it goes!

This Week's Menu -
Monday:
Mashed Potatoes
Peas
Hawaiian Rolls

I have a little extra time so I should be able to fix all of this.

Tuesday:

I have read all the comments on this recipe, and I have decided to try this recipe without putting the chips in until after it is done.  I am afraid the chips will be too soggy.

Wednesday:
Garlic Bread

Thursday:

I was hesitant to add this to my March meals list, but the ratings make it look and sound really good.  I guess I will find out firsthand.

Friday:
Leftovers

This starts my Spring Break, and I will probably not want to cook anything.  We should have plenty from throughout the week to eat the whole weekend! :)

I hope you have a blessed week!

Photography - Weeks 6 & 7

I have gotten a little behind with my photography challenge.  The weather has been crazy, and I have been busy working.  I hope to catch up this week and next.  I did go through all my pictures the other day, and I love having these memories.  These are pictures that I wouldn't normally take, but this challenge is making me think outside the box.  I can't wait to put them all together in a book after the year is up.

"Quiet"
Pretty much the only time we can get Adelaide to be quiet these days is when she sleeps!

"Open"
Working so hard to get Mommy's water bottle opened.

"Simplicity"
The simplest and smallest things get Adelaide's attention right now.

"Bokeh/Blur"
Memories can be such a blur if we don't keep a record of them!

Menu Monday

This weekend was the first of the month so I made my monthly grocery trip.  Our cost is definitely going down each month, because I have so much left over from the previous month.  I believe I had like 8 leftover meals from last month so I only had to plan for 12 other meals for this month.

While I was shopping, "Little Bit" went and spent some time with Daddy.  She enjoyed riding the bulldozer and working on the land.  Kevin said she barely slept and never fussed.  She is definitely going to be a "Daddy's Girl".

Look Back at New Things on Last Week's Menu (Week Before)

Monday: Cheesy Chicken Ranch Lasagna - Kevin really liked this recipe.  It was really good!  I will say make sure to read the comments.  It does not take a box of lasagna noodles.  You could probably make it with 6-10 noodles.  I had a lot of noodles leftover so I will have to make something this week with them.

Tuesday: Slow Cooker Pork Tenderloin - This was easy and good.  There isn't a sauce to pour over after it cooks, but I liked it dry.

Wednesday: Crockpot Beef Stroganoff - We made this and ate it over egg noodles.  I accidentally forgot to put the cream cheese in, but we put it back in the crockpot and added the cheese.  That is what I get for getting in a hurry.

Friday: Weight Watchers Taco Casserole - I stayed at work late so I did not make this, but it's on the menu for this week.

Last night, we made Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches.  They were good, but they were lacking a little flavor.  I will definitely add some spices next time.

Today for lunch I made French Bread pizzas.  This was an old recipe that I have had for awhile so I am not sure where I got it from.  They are really easy to make and pretty good.  I did snap a picture before cooking them in the oven.  If you want the recipe, just let me know.

This Week's Menu -
Monday:

I am going to try this again.  It looks good!

Tuesday:
Red Lobster Biscuits

It is suppose to be cold, and I want to get some cleaning done.  This looks like the perfect recipe to try!

Wednesday:
Chicken Lasagna

I need to use the leftover lasagna noodles from last week so I plan on making one of our family favorites.

Thursday:
Nothing!!!!

We both have somewhere to go this night, and dinner is being served at both places.
That means I don't have to cook at all this night!

Friday:
Leftovers

Our fridge already has a lot of leftovers in it so I know that there will be plenty by Friday.
I don't know about you, but I am pretty tired when it gets to be Friday afternoon
so I don't always like to fix dinner.

I hope you have a blessed week!
